Plant and haulage firm L Lynch Plant Hire and Haulage has taken delivery of eight new Isuzu N75.190(E) trucks with plant bodies, supplied by local dealer Cordwallis Group, as part of a major expansion of the company’s 7.5-tonne plant delivery fleet.
The company, which is headquartered in London and operates from nine depots in the UK, is a longstanding Isuzu Truck customer.
It has been running the Japanese marque’s 7.5-tonners for around a decade. This latest investment increases the number it operates to 11.
The vehicles will be used to help reduce customer delivery times, especially to construction sites with limited space or on tight urban streets.
Stephen Bremner, L Lynch Plant Hire and Haulage fleet director said: “We’ve always had a few Isuzu trucks in our fleet, but as the plant hire side of the business has continued to grow, we needed a reliable 7.5-tonner to support that growth.
“The N-Series’ manoeuvrability, payload capacity and customisable chassis makes it the ideal choice.”
All eight vehicles feature bespoke bodywork from Solent Body Builders, which include a custom plant body and beavertail with alloy lift ramps, a front mounted toolbox and a working at height safety system.
The versatile configuration allows for the safe and efficient loading of a varied range of plant machinery, alongside secure storage for small electrical tools.
“The 7.5-tonners are perfect for the collection and delivery of plant to our customers. We received great support from Cordwallis and the bodybuilder to develop a system that takes full advantage of the narrow footprint and durability of the chassis, while prioritising driver safety and ease of use,” added Bremner.
The vehicles join a 300-strong mixed commercial vehicle fleet and will be distributed to the company’s depots across the country. They will be on the road five days per week and expected to cover up to 40,000 miles annually.
All servicing and maintenance will be managed within Isuzu Truck’s dealer network, with Cordwallis Group taking care of those vehicles based in Hemel Hempstead.
The customer will also benefit from the manufacturer’s three-year, unlimited mileage warranty which includes 24/7 roadside assistance, alongside access to the Isuzu Truck Customer CARE team.
