Two-person delivery specialist AIT Home Delivery has enhanced its final-mile delivery service to customers in Scotland, the company has announced this week.
Consumers north of the border awaiting deliveries of heavy items—such as furniture, whitegoods, and brown goods amongst other household and garden items —will now benefit from faster delivery times and an improved next-day service with four-hour delivery windows.
The improved service will reach 99% of Scotland, and stems from ongoing upgrades to AIT’s systems and processes, centred around a new 77,479sq ft warehouse located in the Westfield Industrial Estate in Cumbernauld.
This facility includes 5,000sq ft of office space, three dock levels, two fully secured yards, dedicated parking, LED lighting, and a driver training area.
Gary McKelvey, AIT vice president of global home delivery, said the benefits of the new warehouse and its operations will be felt directly by end customers across Scotland.
“We’ve provided market-leading service across Scotland for many years, but not without overcoming significant geographical challenges.
“We’re proud that our ongoing efforts to improve service for Scottish customers are now delivering results.”

He added: “Thanks to our refined processes and continued investment, customers in Scotland can expect an enhanced final-mile delivery experience including our value-added services such as assembly and installation, ensuring goods are ready to use.”
Formerly Panther Logistics, AIT Home Delivery was rebranded in July last year, following its 2020 acquisition by US-based AIT Worldwide Logistics.
Ryan Carter, AIT Worldwide Logistics Americas executive vice president, said: “This new facility in Cumbernauld demonstrates AIT’s continued commitment to delivering best-in-class final-mile solutions across the UK.
“Scotland has always been a vital part of our network, and we’re proud to further strengthen our capabilities in the region.
“By investing in infrastructure and innovation, we are not only enhancing delivery speed and reliability — we are reinforcing our promise to provide a seamless, customer-centric experience.”
