As part of National Apprenticeship Week, e-fulfilment, mail and parcels specialist Whistl is celebrating 20 of its employees gaining apprenticeship qualifications during 2024.
The successful candidates are from all areas of the business including mail and parcel warehouse and transport operations, contact solutions, cross border and HR.
The qualifications are graded from Levels Two to Seven, with each level representing a different qualification and educational level.
The levels are:
• Intermediate (level 2): Equivalent to GCSE standard
• Advanced (level 3): Equivalent to two A-level passes
• Higher (levels 4 and 5): Equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree or a foundation degree
• Degree (levels 6 and 7): Equivalent to an undergraduate or a master’s degree
Whistl also operates the Whistl Apprenticeship Fund where it invites small businesses in the areas where it has sites to apply for funding for their own Level Two to Five apprenticeship schemes with a focus on early years learning, and digital and engineering-focused apprenticeships.
Nick Wells, Whistl executive chairman, said: “We are delighted that 20 employees gained apprenticeship qualifications during the past year.
“It is a great way for colleagues to enhance their career whether they are at entry level or senior management. We are also pleased that we can continue to contribute to the communities where we operate through funding local apprenticeships.”
