Norbert Dentressangle (ND) has won a 10-year contract renewal with Shop Direct Group (SDG) for the warehousing of its ‘two-man delivery’ products.

The logistics giant will be responsible for the receipt, inspection, picking, dispatch and returns management of products requiring two-man delivery, such as furniture and white goods.

Distribution will be handled by parcels firm Yodel.

The furniture operation is based at ND’s warehouse in Wrexham, North Wales and the white goods operation at a second site at Hooton, near Liverpool. Across the two sites, the logistics firm employs more than 200 staff and is responsible for the provision of 900,000ft² of warehousing and the handling of around three million items each year.

Online retailer SDG owns brands including Littlewoods, Very, Isme, Kays and Woolworths.co.uk, with annual sales of around £1.7bn from its five million customers.

Mike Heald, SDG director of warehousing & returns, says: “The new contract reflects both the quality of the current solution and the strategic nature of our partnership with Norbert Dentressangle, which we expect to continue to evolve over the next 10 years.”
