Norbert Dentressangle has confirmed plans for a new 295,000ft² central UK hub at Crick, in Northamptonshire, which will lead to the closure of two depots at Northampton and Rowley Regis.
The Crick site will provide “a strategically important Midlands hub and a new location for [our] central support services,” said ND Transport Services MD Mike Bridges.
Operations from the two closing sites will be transferred to Crick between January and May next year, “after which these sites will be closed”, he confirmed.
“The investment at Crick underlines our commitment to the UK market and provides an excellent platform for future expansion,” he added.
A spokesman for ND told us that all 130 staff employed at Northampton would be transferring to Crick. Around 140 employees at the Rowley Regis site may be affected by the move but all are being consulted with and will have the opportunity to relocate to Crick, he confirmed.
