Nightline is to restructure in a move that will see the creation of three different divisions at the firm, which has sites in Dublin, Belfast and Chorley, Lancashire.
Its parcels business, Nightline Delivers, will remain as one of divisions, incorporating its Eirpost and Parcel Motel subsidiaries.
However they will be joined by two new divisions: Nightline International, which will be responsible for the firm’s freight forwarding volumes; and Nightline Logistics, which will manage warehousing and distribution. The latter joined Fortec last month.
Nightline CEO, John Tuohy, said the changes were a necessary part of the “evolution and continual development of our brand”.
“We have come a long way in the 21 years that we’ve been in business and the pace of change has been particularly dramatic in the last few years, both in terms of the volumes of materials that we handle and the way that we do so.
“What we are now embarking on is a process stemming from a comprehensive review of what we do and how we can drive the high standards which we have set ourselves even higher.”
