Microlise has integrated digital freight marketplace HaulageHub into its transport management system (TMS) and said the move will make it easier for hauliers to complete jobs.
Set up in 2021, Cheshire-based HaulageHub matches load opportunities with a base of more than 1,500 firms and has helped reduce emissions by lowering the average empty running rate to 19%.
Microlise said its partnership with HaulageHub sees the integration of the platform into the technology firm’s TMS, streamlining the subcontracting processes for shared customers.
HaulageHub’s AI-driven matching of subcontracted loads is based on hauliers filling empty trailers and vehicles, driving down empty mileage and supporting customers with their own sustainability targets.
The platform’s carbon footprint analysis results in data-driven insights that allow hauliers to track and measure emissions.
This gives them the opportunity to make informed decisions and continuously improve sustainability efforts across their supply chain.

Steve Watson, Microlise product director, said: “Our partnership with HaulageHub is a logical step.
“Our TMS simplifies operations for hauliers, and this seamless, friction-free integration makes it much easier for them to react and respond, preventing empty running and reducing emissions.
“The government’s target of reducing emissions by 81% from the 1990 base levels will be made significantly easier for hauliers who use our integration into the HaulageHub platform.”
Scott Robertson, co-founder of HaulageHub, added: “We are already seeing success stories. A leading retail chain has successfully reduced its logistics-related carbon emissions by 21% in just one year of partnering with HaulageHub.
“Additionally, a mid-sized manufacturing company has consolidated its loads and optimised its routes, which has not only cut emissions by 15% but also seen a significant reduction in its logistics costs too.”
