Kent police said road closures on the A2 and M25 had been reopened after an HGV collided with a roadside barrier on the M25 and was left hanging precariously off a bridge.
The M25 was closed anti-clockwise at junction 2 south of Dartford for more than 12 hours and the A2 was shut in both directions following the incident.
Highways England said a “complex recovery and repair operation” was underway after the lorry’s trailer went through the safety barrier and was left dangling over the flyover.
The police said the roads reopened at 2am on 8 April following completion of repairs at the scene and no serious injuries were reported.
