Tickets are now available for Transaid’s second Scottish Transaid Dinner, which is being held on 12 September 2024 at the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel & Spa near Grangemouth, where guests will be entertained by the award-winning Scottish comedian Ray Bradshaw.

This latest event follows the charity’s inaugural Scottish Transaid Dinner in September 2022, which saw 200 guests attend and a record £100,000 raised - the largest sum of money ever collected for Transaid on a single night.

Now Transaid, which works with communities, partners, and governments to solve transport, safety and health challenges throughout sub-Saharan Africa, is hoping to beat that fundraising record with its second Scottish Transaid Dinner.

Lynsey Craik, John Mitchell Haulage & Warehousing business support manager, is once again leading the organisation of the event, with support from Nicola Robertson, Malcolm Group corporate events manager.

Craik said: ”We were so grateful to everyone who supported our first event, and we’re hoping this year’s dinner will be even bigger and better.”

Joan Aitken, former Scottish Traffic Commissioner, and now chair of Transaid, said: “The first Scottish Transaid Dinner demonstrated a phenomenal show of support towards those in sub-Saharan Africa who do not have the benefits of safe, available, and sustainable transport.

”Lynsey and Nicola set the bar incredibly high in 2022, and we are so grateful they are doing this for Transaid again.”

Entertainment already confirmed for the evening includes award-winning Scottish comedian Ray Bradshaw – who will be performing a daily show at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Tickets for the dinner are priced at £100 per person, with tables of 10 available. For ticket sales and sponsorship enquiries please contact Lynsey Craik, via ScottishTransaidDinner@hotmail.com.
