Industrial developer Indurent has completed the first phase of its 1.05m sq ft regeneration of a former power station in Staffordshire, providing an initial 119,000 sq ft of logistics space.
Split across two speculatively developed units, the newly completed space at Indurent Park Meaford achieved EPC A and BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certifications, with rooftop solar provision designed to lower energy costs for businesses and support decarbonisation.
Indurent has secured outline planning consent for future phases, including a c.600,000 sq ft build-to-suit unit.
Located between Junctions 14 and 15 of the M6 motorway, Indurent Park Meaford is close to Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford and offers access to large worker and consumer catchments across the Midlands and North West.
Marcus Riley, development manager at Indurent, said: “By repurposing a derelict site as high-quality new warehousing, it will support the growth of the advanced manufacturing and distribution sectors.”
The completion of the first phase came as the logistics developer also announced the completion of a speculative development across five warehouses at Indurent Park Burton and the start of construction of a 43,000 sq ft office space at its industrial park in Derby.
