Hermes has been awarded a five-year contract with fashion chain New Look to handle the home delivery of the retailer’s e-commerce orders.
Delivering more than three million parcels per year to UK households, the goods will first be collected from New Look’s fulfilment hub in Lichfield, Staffs, before being transported to Hermes’ NDC in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
The packages, including clothes, shoes and accessories, will be delivered by the parcel firm’s 7,500 couriers using either a 48-hour or next-day service.
Pat Lee, group operations director at New Look, says: “It was vital that we selected a partner that we could work closely with in order the maximise first time delivery rates and ensure service quality."
Jon Tobbell, commercial director at Hermes UK, adds: “This long-term commitment from New Look recognises our ability to provide an effective home-delivery service for leading online, catalogue and high street retailers.”
