WT Transport in Northampton has become the third haulier to join The Hazchem Network in recent months.
The company, which holds an international operator licence authorising 51 HGVs and 60 trailers, runs out of a base next to the M1 and operates a warehouse with a capacity of over 20,000 pallets.
Family-run WT was started by Warren Tattersall in 1997 and is aiming to become the leading transport company in the area.
The Hazchem Network said it had a lot of experience working within a pallet network and when an opportunity arose for it joining the business, it was an obvious choice.
Tattersall said: “Joining The Hazchem Network is something that we had been considering for some time.
“When the opportunity arose it was one that we simply couldn’t turn down. Adding the carriage of hazardous goods to our extensive transport offering really does fit with our intention to become our customers’ first choice logistics provider.”
Rob Symes, The Hazchem Network MD, added: “When we spoke to WT and saw their facilities, we knew that they were a very good operation.
“They have provided an excellent service to the network from the very first day, it has been seamless with them taking on a large part of Northamptonshire. We are delighted to have them in the network.”
