Scottish haulier Inverdell has expanded its fleet to ensure it can meet rising demand, particularly during the busy Christmas period in the general and temperature controlled freight sector.
The family owned business has taken delivery of a new DAF XF FTG.480 6x2 tractor unit, supplied by Asset Alliance Group.
The tractor unit comes with a three-year full-service contract hire deal and will be in operation six days a week, carrying out the family-owned company’s general haulage work and supporting additional contracts with other operators close to its bases at Prestwick International Airport and Cairndow.
Inverdell’s MD Allan Clark said: “With Christmas fast approaching, we wanted to make sure we could keep up with an increase in demand and additional work we’ve taken on to support local companies.

The new tractor unit features a lane departure warning system, vehicle stability control, forward collision warning and an advanced emergency braking system, as well as built-in sat-nav, LED headlights and a fridge.
Asset Alliance Group’s comprehensive full-service contract hire is based on a single monthly payment which includes all safety inspections, maintenance, servicing and repairs, tyre cover, and full roadside assistance.
Clark said: “Maximising our uptime so the vehicles we need are always on the road is vital to us. The full-service deal gives us peace of mind that there is someone on hand to support us every time.”
