Gregory Distribution has ordered 38 SDC curtainsiders trailers on contract hire from Hireco after an “extremely busy” 2020.

The order follows 11 new SDC builds taken from Hireco earlier in the year on spot hire.

Andrew Chapple, Gregory Distribution head of fleet, property and procurement, said the new trailers would service increased customer orders including contract tender wins.

“We have been extremely busy throughout 2020 and we have seen opportunities as major companies review their logistics requirements,” he said.

Chapple added that Hireco was chosen due to its ability to meet the order quickly and at a competitive price.

Gregory Distribution has 1,000 vehicles and 2,000 trailers, of which over 300 are temperature controlled.
