Aberdeenshire-based Grampian Continental has opened its second European hub as a result of an increase in oil industry work on the Continent.
The firm, which has another base in the Netherlands, has opened a 1,500ft² warehouse in Verona, Italy, to assist with its contracts in Italy and Cyprus.
It hopes that this new warehouse will open up new areas for business growth across Europe and North Africa.
“This is a very exciting time for the company, the opening of the Verona office will not only complement our present trade lanes but also open up new opportunities for the Eastern Europe and further afield and allow us to grow the business into new areas,” said operations director Michael Lacey.
As part of its UK growth plan, the firm is also looking to open a warehouse in Bedlington, Newcastle, in addition to its current sites in Great Yarmouth and Kinellar, Aberdeenshire.
The specialist oil and gas logistics company was established in 2009.
