Pall-Ex member FTS Hatswell wants to expand its storage capacity further since moving into bigger premises in June last year.
It moved into the new 67,500ft² warehouse in on the Deeside industrial estate in Flintshire last summer, extending its operation that was previously based there and increasing its storage capacity to 185,000ft² over three sites.
Financial director Colin Broster said the additional space is already “more or less full” since the firm won new customers and received increased business from current clients as a result of the expansion.
Broster said: “We are talking to people and they are wondering where we’re going to put their stuff. Possibly this year will be a year of consolidation.”
The firm employed an additional 21 new staff when the new warehouse was opened, including drivers, warehouse staff and management.
The Flintshire transport firm made a £1m investment in the new warehouse last year, when it received a £150,000 grant from the Welsh Assembly’s economic growth fund.
