Freightroute has commenced deliveries in the north-east of England today (29 June) after joining the HazChem Network.

The Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire-based haulier, which also has a depot in Coundon, County Durham, will manage deliveries and collections of ADR pallets and parcels in postcode areas NE 3 ,5 ,12 ,13 ,15 ,18-20 ,22-30 and 41-71.

Freightroute will handle the postcode areas after the HazChem Network reported growth in the volumes into, and out of the North East, which resulted in discussions member Nicholson’s Transport, as well as the Hazchem Network representative member council.

Nigel Cardwell, operations director at Freightroute, voiced his optimism and keen prospects for the future of the partnership; stating how they were “looking forward to [the] collaboration with the HazChem network and working positively with its family of members”.

The haulier is also a member of Palletforce.

Earlier this month Farlington, Portsmouth-based haulier 2MV Logistics has joined the HazChem Network, covering the PO1-22 areas.
