A new specialist consultancy for freight logistics has been launched to help businesses capitalise on IT opportunities.

Innovate Freight will help hauliers understand the advantages and disadvantages of in-house and external solutions and spread IT best practice across the sector.

The brainchild of Richard Litchfield, who has more than 20 years of experience of implementing freight management systems, Innovate Freight is launching with three product offerings: IF Health Check, IF Consult and IF Consult Plus, which provide a range of consultancy services depending on a company’s needs.

Litchfield said: “At a time of even further reliance on IT across transport and logistics it’s essential that operators are using the best solution available and the onset of Brexit means IT is even more essential.

“As an industry we are not necessarily maximising IT as well as some other sectors and that’s something Innovate aims to tackle.”
