Formula 1 has extended its contract with DHL in a deal that will see it remain as the competition’s official logistics provider.
The firm will move race cars, broadcasting equipment, fuel and components over 19 race locations, with the new season starting this coming weekend in Australia (15-17 March).
It will also continue to sponsor the DHL Fastest Lap Award for the driver who achieves the highest number of fastest laps each season.
The partnership began in 2004 and sees DHL handle express deliveries, customs brokerage and specialist handling at race tracks, as well as sea and air freight.
Roger Cook, chief executive DHL global forwarding, freight, said: “Our partnership is built on a shared commitment to values such as speed, precision and conquering new frontiers.
DHL has long been a pioneer in global transportation and supply chain management and has over 25 years of experience in motorsports logistics specifically.”
