FedEx Express has increased the coverage of its SenseAware service, which monitors the conditions needed to transport environmentally-sensitive goods.
The service, which has previously been operating in the UK and Ireland, has been expanded to cover deliveries to, from, and within 14 more countries on the Continent.
It is aimed at customers in the healthcare industry and monitors temperature, light exposure, relative humidity, shock, and barometric pressure.
Parcels can also be tracked as the expansion coincides with the roll-out of FedEx’s ShipmentWatch service to the same areas.
“Thanks to our international expansion program, even more healthcare customers have access to this information, providing insight to make better, timelier decisions and help identify opportunities to increase the efficacy of their supply chains,” said Carlo Novi, MD, sales, Healthcare Solutions at FedEx Express EMEA.
The expansion comprises: Belgium, Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Poland, and Germany, as well as some areas of Canada.
