Rugby-based Exact Logistics has bought into CTL, a German freight sharing firm, that will see it increase volumes by an anticipated 80% over the next 12 months.
The “five-figure” deal will enable Exact to deliver and collect from CTL’s 130 ‘partners’ between Germany and the UK and Ireland, as well as offer daily services between Germany and the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Greece, Malta, Hungary, Slovenia and Finland.
Adam Shuter, MD of Exact, said he was “delighted” to have secured the deal. “We are looking forward to increasing the range and quality of our services as well as passing the benefits of this deal onto our clients.”
CTL is similar to a pallet network in that it is owned by individual transport firms who co-operate to offer delivery services within Germany and across Europe.
