As the festival season ramps up, Aylesbury-based audio services and event transport business Entertec has taken delivery of a tailor-made trailer from Schmitz Cargobull.
The Schmitz Cargobull FP25 dry freight box van trailer will be used to transport large audio hardware across the UK and mainland Europe. It carries on its side the livery of Entertec's event and international freight business JT Event Truck.
Entertec chose the trailer because of its rear and side-door loading, which makes it suitable for live events and exhibition contracts involving large, bulky crates and set pieces.
The trailer’s base frame includes ferry shackles for overseas journeys, while a compressed airgun with a 15m hose allows the rails on the floor on which the side door slides to be cleaned.
Ferroplast insulation in the roof, sliding door, sidewall, bulkhead and rear door also reduces condensation formation inside the trailer, ideal for transporting high-value, moisture-sensitive items.
Schmitz Cargobull’s European support network was another key selling point.
Entertec director James Tossell said: “Schmitz Cargobull has a very strong pan-European network so when I realised we could get servicing and parts quickly and easily wherever we are, I knew that we really wanted a Schmitz Cargobull trailer.”
