The deadline to enter the Motor Transport Awards ends on March 28 - so go to the awards website mtawards.co.uk to download an entry form now.
The Awards are free to enter and the website includes plenty of helpful tips on what the judges will be looking for.
This year we have introduced Repair & Maintenance Workshop of the Year, an award for the best vehicle maintenance unit – inhouse or third party – in the industry. This award is to recognise the vital importance of proper maintenance to the safe, efficient and legal operation of a CV fleet.
Also new, and bound to generate hot competition, is Transport Manager of the Year. Transport managers are the unsung heroes of any road transport operation, and this award recognises their contribution to keeping Britain trucking.
The ever-popular Livery of the Year Award is back, highlighting the importance of using trucks and vans as mobile billboards to promote the operator or the wider road transport industry.
Awards introduced last year that proved popular and retain their place in the established line up include Network of the Year and Team of the Year.
Because the awards are made by independent transport industry professionals, picking up an MT Award has proven very valuable for the winners, increasing recognition in the industry and boosting staff morale.
"At Norbert Dentressangle, we are extremely proud to win the Motor Transport Training Award 2012. To be recognised by the industry is a huge honour and is great recognition of the time and investment made in our people," said Chris Dolby and Dawn Boatswain, learning and development managers at Norbert Dentressangle
