Carlsberg UK has rolled out its new ‘hop leaf’ livery on 98 Daf trucks that have just entered operation.
The £11.7m order consists of 15-tonne and 18-tonne LFs, 26-tonne CF rigids and CF tractor units.
They are the first Dafs on the brewer’s in-house fleet in a decade and will make multi-drop deliveries of beer and associated items such as gas cylinders.
The CF tractors are expected to clock up about 130,000km a year each and the rigids about 60,000km.
The rigids come with curtain-sided bodies, a bungee restraint system, and an area for the safe storage of gas cylinders. Additional safety features include anti-slip flooring, side- and forward-facing cameras, audible turning alerts and sideguards.
The trucks are leased via Paccar Financial Services on a Hire Plus package.
