Union Unite says it has secured a compensation package for more than 120 Tradeteam employees who lost their jobs after the Hams Hall site closed earlier this month.
The drinks distributor, part of DHL, delivered to pubs and clubs across the West Midlands but it was hit by a decline in volumes and the site closed on 6 April.
Unite says the drivers, warehouse staff, draymen as well as admin and clerical employees that worked at the Warwickshire plant were balloted on the deal, which it says already included an enhanced redundancy package, and it was accepted by a majority.
"It is sad that we could not save this site, but it was not for lack of effort on Unite’s part," adds Unite regional officer Peter Malbasa.
Tradeteam did not respond.
