Commercial Body Fittings (CBF) will be showcasing its extensive range of truck, van and trailer safety equipment at the Freight in the City Expo at London’s Alexandra Palace on 27 October.
With the launch of the London Safer Lorry Scheme last month, it is now a requirement for the majority of vehicles over 3.5 tonnes in weight to be fitted with sideguards.
CBF’s ASGK990 Series sideguard will enable operators to comply with the new regulations in the capital. In addition to the company’s range of sideguards, it also supplies side markers/indicators, reflective tape and side-scan systems that can help improve the safety of vulnerable road users.
Other safety kit to be exhibited by CBF includes a double handrail step, which offers the user three points of contact, fire extinguishers and boxes, and fall arrest straps that enhance safety when working on a drop-side vehicle.
Simon Ragless, special projects manager, Commercial Body Fittings, said: “We are delighted to be exhibiting at Freight in the City, many of our products are aimed at improving safety on the roads and feel this will be a great exhibition to showcase them.”
Established in 1970, CBF is a privately owned company with more than 45 years’ experience in designing, manufacturing and distributing to the commercial vehicle body building, trailer manufacturing and allied trade markets.
The company is an appointed distributor for many established manufacturers based in the UK, Europe and North America. Combined with a large portfolio of products exclusively manufactured for CBF, it now offers more than 3,600 products.
