Clipper Logistics has won an e-fulfilment contract with women’s exercise clothing company Vevie, following the launch of its online sales site vevie.com.
The deal will see the logistics giant handling all inbound freight from vendors and suppliers, order fulfilment and home deliveries for Vevie’s customers across the UK and globally using a network of courier partners.
Clipper will also carry out quality control of products and handle all returns at its Milton Keynes DC.
The contract was awarded following a competitive tender process, with Clipper winning the contract on the strength of its retail e-fulfilment experience with customers such as John Lewis, Harvey Nichols, Asda and Tesco.
Sean Fahey, solutions director at Clipper, says: “We’re delighted to have secured this contract with such an innovative and contemporary company. Increasingly many brands are launching or expanding their presence online and seeing rapid, large-scale expansion of their business as a result - Vevie is an excellent example of this trend.”
Caroline Greenslade, founder of Vevie, adds: “Clipper’s extensive experience, including expansion strategies made them and ideal choice for us.”
