Clipper Logistics has won a new contract with Swedish children’s clothes retailer Polarn O. Pyret.
It sees Clipper provide logistics from its Ollerton facility, as well as a warehousing arrangement that will allow expansion of Polarn’s current product range and offer store replenishment it its second phase, reducing the lead time of stock from Sweden.
Leeds-based Clipper will handle around 5,500 SKUs, which will fulfill clothing orders in the UK and Ireland.
The company says it was awarded the contract on the strength of its experience of delivering retail e-fulfillment services for major customers including Harvey Nichols, Asda and Tesco.
Mats Nilsson, MD at Polarn O.Pyret, which operates nine stores in the UK and supplies major retailers such as House of Fraser and John Lewis, says: “We’ve experienced significant growth in recent years and the time has come for us to work in conjunction with an experienced retail logistics partner. Clipper was the ideal choice due to its team’s experience in e-fulfillment, including growth strategies.”
