A quick response time from rental firm TIP Trailer Services prompted Clipper Logistics to hire nine SDC box trailers from it on a five year lease.
The 13.6m trailers, wearing the Clipper Logistics livery, will work on a specific contract across the UK, and Clipper said it was TIP’s ability to quickly meet the high security demand of its customer that sealed the deal.
Richard Ball, senior transport director at Clipper Logistics, said: “Our perception of TIP changed recently when they came into their own during the time when we needed 15 fleet trailers very quickly for a longer term contract.
“Their ability to source and supply these trailers within a very short lead time was exceptional. This quick thinking and turnaround has led us to using TIP once again for this latest nine trailer contract, which also demanded a really short lead time to be operational.”
