City Link has rolled out a dedicated new livery for its Sameday fleet, featuring the strapline ‘when tomorrow is too late’ to help strengthen the operation’s brand.
The parcels firm says the Sameday service has expanded rapidly in the past 12 months, with new contract wins across multiple business sectors, and that “this trend shows no sign of slowing down”.
Two new depots were opened in Bristol and Newcastle during 2011 to cope with customer demand, with further sites earmarked for this year.
Ian Bolton, head of Sameday, says: “We are in a unique position of being able to provide a wide portfolio of services whether it be next-day, international or same day. Further developing our Sameday presence will continue to reinforce City Link’s market-leading position as a premium express delivery company.”
City Link’s new MD David Smith announced a three-year strategy earlier this month to turnaround the business’s losses by the end of the year and re-establish the company as “the delivery expert in the market”.
