CEVA Logistics is aiming to standardise and simplify its 4PL global operations with the roll out of logistics platform CargoWise.
The CargoWise platform allows logistics operators to execute complex transactions in areas such as freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, shipping, tracking, land transport, e-commerce, and cross-border compliance, enabling them to manage their operations on one database across multiple users, functions, countries, languages and currencies.
CEVA will roll out the platform over the next five years, replacing multiple legacy systems.
The switch to CargoWise will enable CEVA Logistics teams around the globe to have real-time visibility of freight forwarding and customs actions on a single platform.
The purpose-built solution gives employees access to the same information in a single database across all functions, offices, countries and languages.
CEVA said that by the end of 2022, 50% of all the group’s locations will be fully operational on the CargoWise platform with the whole project completed and deployed by 2025.
