Lincolnshire-based Cartwright Bros (Haulage) has been voted 2012 Depot of the Year by fellow member of the Pall-Ex pallet network. They collected their award from chief executive Hilary Devery and MD Adrian Russell in front of 350 guests at the network's annual dinner dance and award ceremony at the Celtic Manor resort, south Wales.
The awards presented on the night were:
Depot of the Year
Winner: Cartwright Bros (Haulage)
Runner up: LinkLine Express Services
3rd place: 1st Class Transport
Outstanding Contribution to the Network
Winner: LinkLine Express Services
Runner up: STD Developments
3rd place: Premier Logistics (UK)
A special tribute was also made to STD Developments’ founder Fred Stevens, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
Devey said: “The network has enjoyed growth in 2012, strengthening our UK offering and expanding further into Europe. This event is our way of saying thank you for everyone’s hard work and to recognise those who have gone the extra mile."
The evening also helped to raise funds for Pall-Ex’s chosen charity, the Princess Royal Trust for Carers, with a total of £5,580 being donated by guests.
