DHL Supply Chain has won a three-year contract with energy firms SSE and SGN to provide logistics support and help deliver essential services.
The new contract will see DHL operations running five days a week for SSE and SGN, as well as providing a 24/7 business continuity team for warehouse and transport work.
It will work for both companies out of two sites in Thatcham and Glasgow, providing operations support for the delivery of essential services and sustainable energy solutions.
DHL added that it will also undertake a strategic review of the inbound and outbound supply chains to identify future efficiencies.

SSE is a FTSE listed company that owns and operates economically-regulated electricity networks, renewables and flexible thermal generation and SGN is a gas distributor serving nearly six million homes and businesses in England and Scotland.
