Logistics specialist Salvatori Group has invested a six-figure sum in installing new solar panels at two depots, to help cut the group's emissions and generate renewable electricity.
The Palletways member, which employs 150 people and has an operating licence for 115 trucks and 60 trailers, is investing in a solar photovoltaics system at its Sittingbourne and Aylesham sites.
The two systems are predicted to generate a combined 295.8 MwH of electricity annually, the equivalent to a saving of 65.21 tonnes of CO2 annually.

Salvatori’s Sittingbourne operation was created four years ago as a bespoke mini hub dedicated to Palletways customers. Meanwhile the Aylesham depot is currently expanding its Palletways business, adding three new warehouses. Both depots operate 24 hours a day, six days a week
