Evri said it was moving towards being “an even more ethical and sustainable business” by making environmental, social and governance (ESG) training mandatory for all its employees and contractors.
It said the training is designed to highlight the importance of ESG, and to encourage its 7,128 employees, plus around 20,000 contractors to consider environmental and social implications during their day-to-day roles.
The training will focus on Evri’s ESG performance and future ESG targets, with the aim that employees should feel comfortable talking about the ethos of ESG within their company.

“While we have always been a responsible carrier, the last 12 months have seen a significant gear change in our efforts to become an even more ethical and sustainable business.”
Last year, the former Hermes company recruited a head of ESG, a newly created role with a brief to develop a strong ESG strategy.
