Eddie Stobart has put its marker down on a major facility at Mulberry Logistics Park in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

The logistics firm has signed a pre-let contract agreeing to lease the 565,000 sq ft unit before its construction is completed.

The build-to-suit unit, which equates to approximately half of the first phase of the scheme, is located close to the A1M motorway, near Junction 34.

Mulberry Logistics Park, which covers almost 400 acres in total, has planning for units that range from 350,000 sq ft to 1.2 million sq ft. Properties will be built to a BREEAM Very Good rating.

The facility pre-let to Eddie Stobart has a 545,380 sq ft warehouse space, as well as 15,000 sq ft of offices, plus a 5,000 sq ft hub office. It will also have 440 car parking spaces and room for 127 HGVs. There are plans for 72 dock and 12 level access doors.

Roebuck Asset Management, which advised Eddie Stobart on the new lease, said, in a statement announcing the deal: “Given the continued strength and demand across the whole of the UK logistics market, securing high quality space on favourable lease terms is becoming increasingly more challenging for UK occupiers. The unit will provide significant and much needed additional capacity to the Eddie Stobart portfolio.”
