Thomas Huw Owen, founder and MD of Llanelli-based Owens Group, has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours for services to employment and to the community.
Owen, who started the transport and warehousing company in 1972, said: “I am very humbled and proud to receive this honour.
“It is a very special day for all the family, especially after the year that we have all come through.
