Meachers Global Logistics has bought the business trade of Southampton-based freight forwarder Kepair and Sea. The acquisition, which will take effect on 30 April, forms part of Meachers Global’s strategy to expand its freight forwarding capacity and bolster key markets. Irish operator Nolan Transport has bought John Raymond Transport, with a view to growing its UK operation.
Currie Solutions Group has made its third acquisition in 18 months with the purchase of Laser Transport International. It said the latest acquisition added a prime location in Kent, as well as new hubs in Coventry and Swindon to the group’s expanding network, which also includes sites in Holland and France.
