Canute Haulage Group creditors stand to lose millions of pounds following the sale of the business earlier this month via a pre-pack administration. A report by administrator FRP Advisory states that as of 18 May unsecured creditors face a deficit of £7m. Wincanton has signed a contract renewal with WH Smith, which will see its relationship with the high street retailer reach two decades. The logistics provider has won a three-year extension, as part of a collaborative transport agreement, that sees it delivering for a mixture of 30 retailers and manufacturers. By sharing loads it has enabled Wincanton to reduce the number of deliveries it makes, splitting costs among participants while cutting carbon emissions.
