ACS&T, has signed a one-year deal with two London-based bakeries within the Michael’s Pitta Bread Group.

Eghoyan’s Pitta Bakery and Hollyland’s Pitta Bakery manufacture pitta and naan breads, supplying them to retailers, wholesalers and food service providers throughout the UK.

As part of the new contract, ACS&T will collect large quantities of Eghoyan’s and Hollyland’s products direct. They will then be blast frozen and stored at the company’s Tewkesbury site, before being distributed around the country.

"We aim to offer customers maximum flexibility with regards to their logistics operations and can tailor our services to their exacting requirements."

ACS&T operates from four centres in Grimsby, Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury and Scarborough. Its extensive estates include 12 cold stores, three ambient stores, and large, dedicated and shared-user multi-temperature transport fleets.

The operator recently won a one-year contract with meat and poultry processor Pinnacle Foods.
