BRS has extended its contract with B&Q, supplying 25 new Renault Premiums for the DIY giant's trade operation, TradePoint.
The Premium 380.26 6x2 chassis cabs have been fitted with a triple dropside body and a Hiab crane.
The Renault Premiums were chosen by TradePoint because they provided the ‘best all-round package’ in a tender prepared by BRS against competitor marques, including MAN and Mercedes-Benz.
The new trucks all all Euro-5 - BRS will start offering Euro-6 tractor units from December this year.
BRS is already a long term partner of B&Q for home delivery services and the new trucks will extend its range of services to include heavyside building materials. The Renault Premiums are part of a full service contract with BRS which includes the vehicles, drivers and management.
They will operate from TradePoint hubs across the UK, providing a delivery service to tradesmen onsite.
Marc Ferris, TradePoint hub project manager, said: “BRS already has a long established relationship with B&Q and we were very impressed with the proposal that they came back with for the TradePoint fleet.
"Compared to its competitors, Renault Trucks offered the best all-round package, with a fuel efficient, reliable and driver-friendly product.”
TradePoint's sales are growing fast and the new fleet means it can now offer a nationwide site drop service to its trade customers.
