Contracts to supply forecourt fuel distribution to Shell have been renewed, with Suckling Transport picking up the Midlands operating region from Hoyer Petrolog.

Suckling will provide fuel distribution services for Shell in Scotland, Wales, the south-west of England and, from the 1 July, the Midlands for three years.

As well as providing road transport services to Shell forecourts Suckling will be responsible for providing a full delivery service including stock management, automatic order taking, routing and scheduling tasks on behalf of Shell in some areas.

Jesus Ciria, MD at Suckling Transport, said: “We are delighted to continue to grow and build upon our strong relationship with Shell. With our strong HSSE and service driven culture, the provision of these new value added services further enhances Suckling’s offering to the market.”

At the same time Hoyer Petrolog has extended its contract with Shell for retail forecourt deliveries until June 2020. While not revealing the regions it would cover, it said the contract, which sees 70 vehicles and 240 trailers delivering retail fuel from five locations in England, and described it as “significant business”.

Hoyer operations director Allan Davison said: “The agreement of a new contract with Shell is credit to the people in our business who have contributed to an excellent and continuously improving safety and service performance over the past few years.”

Earlier this year Hoyer extended its forecourt delivery contract with Rontec until September 2021.
