The FTA has launched a new supply chain consultancy arm which specialises in warehousing.
The consultancy is run by industry experts Martin Palmer, Eddie de Jong and Paul Wilson (pictured, left to right), who are experienced logistics consultants.
Services offered by the new team will include warehouse improvement and optimisation, including process mapping and review, manpower modelling, system assessments and cost evaluations, as well as a full warehouse design and automation service.
This will include operational profiling, modelling for storage and pick method design, warehouse sizing and layout design and staffing requirements.
FTA chief executive David Wells said: "With Brexit, technology and other disruptive forces driving changes in the way that goods move across borders and through the supply chain, logistics has never been more important to the success of UK PLC.
