Own-account operator DBC Foodservice has been put into administration, after attempts to sell the business failed.

The £300m turnover company supplies some of the best known cafes, restaurants and bars on the high Street including Café Nero, Prezzo, Loch Fyne and vodka bar chain Revolution.
Other customers include hotels, local authorities, the MoD, NHS and police.
Russell Cash, Ben Woolrych and Mark Wilson from Baker Tilly Restructuring and Recovery were appointed to handle the administration yesterday (27 March), and a break-up of the business now looks likely.
Cash says: “DBC is a very well established business which has enjoyed a great reputation over a prolonged period.
"It is obviously very disappointing to see the company enter into administration. We are in discussions with a number of interested parties, some of which are at an advanced stage. We are hopeful that we will be able to secure a future for certain areas of the business”
DBC operates a 230-strong Daf fleet delivering 8,000 multi-temperature products to customers each year, with 11 regional branches across the UK. It has close to 1,000 employees.
