Oldham-based logistics firm NBS Transport's assets will be auctioned later this month, after it collapsed in June with the loss of 20 jobs.
The company provided pallet services, container freight forwarding and warehousing to the retail, manufacturing, construction and events sectors.
It held a standard national licence authorising 18 HGVs – Mercedes-Benz Actros and Scania Toplines - and 25 trailers out of a depot on the Woodstock Business Park in Oldham.
According to Phil Pierce and Paul Whitwam, partners at administrators FRP Advisory, the company made its employees redundant on 1 June, days before it entered administration on 5 June.
Pierce said: “NBS Transport had experienced cash flow difficulties in recent months which, combined with a significant low-margin contract and slow customer payments, led management to conclude that the company should cease trading.
“Our focus is now on supporting all of those affected during this difficult time.”
He added: “While this is just one example of a business in distress, the haulage sector is experiencing the perfect storm of rising fuel prices and a lack of drivers.
“This is putting increased pressure on those businesses that are already experiencing cash flow difficulties and we would encourage any business in a similar situation to seek support early on.”
FRP now intends to sell all the assets via an online sale on 18 July.
