Clipper Logistics is set to create around 200 new jobs after landing a three-year deal with John Lewis to provide additional e-commerce and store replenishment services from its Bardon distribution centre, near Leicester.
The contract, which will run for a minimum of three years, is an extension of a temporary arrangement between the two firms which saw Clipper provide e-commerce and store replenishment over the Christmas period last year.
Set to go live later this month, the deal sees Clipper Logistics expand its range of services to John Lewis, which already include returns management for e-commerce products, forward orders for furniture, pre-retail operations for clothing suppliers and the click and collect joint venture Clicklink.
