Bullet Express has filled over three-quarters of its new distribution hub in Baillieston, Glasgow, just two months after opening it.
The latest client to take space at the hub is protective packaging products distributor Macfarlane Packaging.
The packaging company is taking 28,000ft² of the facility’s 190,000ft² of storage and distribution space.
As part of the deal, Bullet Express will source all of its protective packaging from Macfarlane.
Macfarlane will also use Bullet Express’s logistics services to support its distribution service.
The 10-year deal means over 75% of the 21,000 pallet spaces within Bullet Express’s Baillieston facility are now let. Bullet Express opened the hub in May as part of a wider strategy to expand into storage.
David McCutcheon, MD of Bullet Express, said: “We offer Macfarlane Packaging a warm welcome to our new site at Baillieston. Macfarlane was our first customer when we set up business in 1990 so having them on-site is particularly significant.
"I have enjoyed working with the Macfarlane team to make this deal come alive and we look forward to supporting them going forward.”
Speaking to Motortransport.co.uk McCutcheon said the company is planning to open another hub once the Baillieston site is at full capacity. He added that the company’s move into storage was “going very well".
"We are finding an amazing amount of clients for storage and its bringing us a lot of opportunities,” he said.
