Salford Van Hire (SVH) said “the worst is behind us” after Renault CVs worth more than £16m were finally delivered to its contract and spot hire fleets following delays blamed on Covid.
SVH chairman Raffaello Bacci said problems in the supply chain had been frustrating but that the future was now looking bright, despite Ryder’s recent announcement it was withdrawing from the UK rental sector.
Bacci said: “We are a customer-led company and our customers tell us they like the Renault offering.

The SVH Renaults comprise 165 6x2 tractor units, 20 6x2 26-tonne rigid box vans and curtainsiders built by PPS Commercials in Pilsworth, Bury and 20 18-tonne rigid tailift dropsides and tailift box vans built by Martin Williams of Hull.
