
Wren Kitchens & Bedrooms was the big winner at the 40th anniversary Motor Transport Awards last night, picking up three more trophies to take its tally to 12 since it started taking part in 2019. Welch Group broke its duck with two wins while Buffaload came through a hard-fought contest to take the Haulier of the Year trophy.
The Mercedes-Benz Actros came out of its 12-year wilderness to pick up the Fleet Truck of the Year award while NRG Riverside walked away with its second successive Contract Hire and Leasing Provider of the Year title.
Family haulier Darcica took home the New Talent Development award and Malcolm Group CEO Andrew Malcolm MBE was presented with a well-deserved Service to Industry Award. The Awards were presented at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane by award-winning TV star Michael McIntyre in front of 1,300 guests who were also entertained with live music from two bands.
