The Motor Transport Awards are now open for entries – and for 2013 we have introduced a couple of new categories and brought back an old favourite to keep the awards bang up to date.
This year we have introduced Repair & Maintenance Workshop of the Year, an award for the best vehicle maintenance unit – inhouse or third party – in the industry. This award is to recognise the vital importance of proper maintenance to the safe, efficient and legal operation of a CV fleet.
Also new, and bound to generate hot competition, is Transport Manager of the Year. Transport managers are the unsung heroes of any road transport operation, and this award recognises their contribution to keeping Britain trucking.
The ever-popular Livery of the Year Award is back, highlighting the importance of using trucks and vans as mobile billboards to promote the operator or the wider road transport industry.
Awards introduced last year that proved popular and retain their place in the established line up include Network of the Year and Team of the Year.
To enter these or any of the other 18 MT Awards, go to www.mtawards.co.uk, download an entry form and get your entry in before the deadline of 22 March. The awards will be announced on 3 July – you have to be in it to win it!
